Tony & Giuliana Pierotti, originally from Barga in the hills of Tuscany moved over to Scotland in 1962 and have been in the hospitality industry ever since. The original Piccolo Mondo was established by the talented couple in 1974.
Over the years it has won many accolades including its listing in Egon Ronay’s Lucas Guide, “Casserole” commendation for excellence and ultimately, the most prestigious title of all, “Best Value Restaurant in Britain” by Les Routiers.
Both of the restaurants are now moving forward under the capable management of Tony and Giuliana’s son Lio, alongside Andreas Grasso and esteemed chef Iain Monaghan.
Select Contract Furniture were honoured to be involved in the transformation of both Glasgow and Renfrew.
The fit-out included manufacture and supply of all new tables, chairs, carpeting, curtains, wallpaper and lighting.
The end result is quite stunning.
